Layer 2 Create

IRIE · 2026

Marker pen and acrylic lacquer on plastic · 20 × 20 × 20 cm

"Layer 2 Create" is a transformable,
challenging puzzle made of black-and-white cubes.
Its special feature: when arranged in a pyramid,
the faces of one color connect across the cube edges into a recurring pattern —
the symbol of the Lightning Network,
the fast second payment layer built on top of the Bitcoin blockchain.
The timechain itself —
slow, massive,
immutable — forms the base,
while lightning-fast transactions become possible on the surface.
An image of stability and transformability that carry each other.
